Baba's gesture for Kennedy was a K; for Lee Harvey Oswald, the man who shot Kennedy, Baba gestured, chee (awful, useless). After Oswald himself was shot by Jack Ruby, when reports began appearing in the newspaper about a possible conspiracy and the involvement of Ruby in the plan, Mehera asked Baba whether Oswald was the sole culprit who had shot and murdered Kennedy. Baba told her that he was. (Mehera Meher, vol 3, p. 281)

There is a new definitive book on it by the famous lawyer from the Manson Case who wrote Helter Skelter, Vincent Bugliosi.

The following story was sent to me by email by a reader, Chris Fox:
Heres a JFK factoid you may not know: the bible LBJ has his hand on in the famous swearing in on Air Force One was JFKs own he had with him on trips always. It was given to him in his youth. He prayed daily. It was on the night stand in the sleeping quarters when the Judge got on to swear him in. They realized they needed a bible! Jackie still in blood soaked pink gloves got his bible. After the ceremony in the panic to get in the air the judge (a friend of LBJ's, lived in Dallas) was rushed off the plane, bible in hand. In the concourse she was approached for her story by a reporter. She claims she was so distraught she gave the bible to the reporter to avoid questions and was rushed away. That bible would be worthy of your investigative time to locate. It's a stunning story lost in history. To me it's sort of the Holy Grail of his death. His personal bible from youth. His last night alive in Ft Worth Jackie stated he prayed with it as usual, alone in their hotel room guarded by two off duty firemen. Times have sure changed.*Chris Fox is an aficionado of Meher Baba and JFK. Above is a picture of his apartment, with a photo of both. He said the quote by Baba on the assassination, which he had not seen before, gave him a lot of peace when he read it. He also pointed out that I retired this blog on the anniversary of JFK's assassination, which only an expert on JFK would notice.
