Amira returns to see her paintings

This is a continuation of the previous post. When Amira bought the Clavinova piano and Mariqi's painting of mice and musical instruments, Mariqi suggested she do a couple of paintings of Amira for Amira's fans. Amira agreed and lent her two photographs to work from.

In this cellphone video Amira returns to the shop to see the finished paintings and put her signature on them. The video is interesting. It begins with Johan and Mariqi nervously awaiting Amira's arrival. The two paintings were later auctioned on Amira's fan site. One man who missed out in the auction was so disappointed Mariqi later did a third painting for him from the photo of his choice.

I love this video for a few reasons. First we get to see the quaint town Amira lives in in S. Africa. And we get to feel how Amira is when she goes out in public, and the excitement she generates in people.

And here are the first two fan paintings as they wound up in the homes of the European fans that won them in auction. Money went to Amira's charity.
