Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman: Time To Say Goodbye, Live From Teatro Del Silenzio, Italy, 2007. Two of the great artists of my generation, Bocelli (61) and Brightman (59) created this modern classical song out of an Italian song, Con te partirò. It is now a major standard of big classical shows around the world, from Maastricht to Pretoria.

I only paid attention to Andre Bocelli's beautiful voice and character after learning that he was Amira's first 'teacher,' in the sense she studied him on YouTube to learn how to sing opera.

Like many of Amira's fans, I knew absolutely zero about classical music or opera before discovering her.

It is interesting Amira, who has a giant heart, would be drawn to learn from a man with such a great heart, and a man at that rather than a young woman. In 1998, People Magazine named Andrea Bocelli as one of the world's 50 Most Beautiful People.
