Does the passing of groups mark the unfoldment of history?

I once wondered if Baba's lovers are themselves standing in the way of Baba's more widespread manifestation. While there are arguments for this view, I no longer hold it. Rather I see things quite in reverse. Baba withholds certain world events until the passing of a group of his lovers, as they are not meant to be encumbered by it.

Consider the passing away of Baba's closest mandali Mehera Irani. She passed away in May of 1989, during protests in Tianamen Square in China. She never witnessed the Tianamen massacre that followed two weeks later on June 4, where possibly thousands of young protestors were shot, that shook the world. Did Baba not want her to have to witness and endure this? Was this event held off until her passing?

Mehera also barely missed the fall of the Wall of Berlin later that year in November, and the Romanian massacre and death of Ceausescu on Christmas day.

Did these events mark the beginning of a new phase of history? One that waited until Mehera's passing?

Eruch Jessawala passed away on August 31, 2001, just 11 days before planes hit the World Trade Center, sending the world into a new era of paranoia. Except for Katie Irani, Meheru Irani, and Bhau Kalchuri I think nearly all of the close mandali missed seeing the second Gulf War, that unleashed the current world crisis we are in. Someone would have to check me on this.

Thus I have considered if events are held off until after the passing of Baba's 'next wave' lovers.

Baba said the world would respond to him 'after 70 years' from his entombment. Since most Baba lovers were born before 1950, this would make the youngest of them 89 years old. Note Baba said 'after' this.

Many Biblical interpreters believe that Moses wandered with the people he liberated from Egypt for 40 years before allowing them to cross the Jordon River into Palestine because he was waiting for the last who remembered their captivity to die off. The thinking is that their slave-consciousness would be non-conducive to starting a new society, and had to be shed. I have no opinion on that theory, but it is interesting.

Are events being withheld until we pass, or are too old to participate? Are we in some sense not meant to see them?

In other words, does Baba hold things back for the sake of certain periods to end? And are we in such a period? Baba referred to a spiritual upheaval. Perhaps we are not meant to endure it, nor be part of the spiritual revival he said would come in its wake.

It's just a thought.
