O Mio Babbino Caro

'O Mio Babbino Caro' is the song that made Amira famous, and it is her signature song. But she never sings it the same way twice. Here are a few of what many feel are her best performances of the aria. 'O Mio Babbino Caro' (Oh my dear papa) is from an opera comedy by Puccini. In it, a spoiled young girl begs her father to allow her to marry a boy, and threatens to go to the Ponte Vecchio (a famous medieval bridge in Florence) and drown herself in the Arno River if he refuses. These performances by Amira are in chronological order.

Zwolle, The Netherlands, 2013. Original audition on Holland's Got Talent. Originally I thought there was no earlier recording of her singing this song. There is one, and I've added it at the bottom.

Maastricht, The Netherlands, 2014.

Reykjavík, Iceland, 2015

Festival della Vacanza, Lecce, Italy, May 2016.

Afrikaans is Groot, Pretoria, South Africa, July 2016.

Szczecin, Poland, October 2016.

Aqua Musica, Steenbergen, Netherlands, May 2017.

This now is the earliest known recording of Amira singing O Mio Babbino Caro, at 8 years old, before her discovery on Holland's Got Talent. It is from the "Music makes Friends" Festival in Colmschate in November 2012.
