Amira is the girl in the front row middle with the cast on her leg. She just graduated her first semester of the 11th grade at third in her class academically. The Volkies is what they call students at her school. Amira has often asked that her fans be patient with her career as she wants to finish school like a normal teenager and go to college. What she will study in college she has never been sure of, although her latest plan is to study music at Juilliard. According to everyone that knows her, Amira is a perfectionist who drives herself and persists until she has mastered what she puts in front of herself. She seems impervious to criticism and doubt. This seems to be part of the symbolism of the shelled turtle she long ago made her mascot.
