Churches in Antarctica

King George Island, Antarctica. This photo says everything to me. Click to enlarge.

In the past I have mentioned music, books, and movies that resonate to me. This is the photo that does most, and portrays how my interior would look if it were made visible.

The town is called Villa Las Estrellas. The church was built in 2005. There are seven churches on Antarctica, including a Catholic church, an Orthodox church, and a church made entirely of snow.

Below is the Orthodox one, Holy Trinity Church. Holy Trinity is the world’s southernmost Eastern Orthodox Church. A priest conducts services there year round. Beneath it is a photo of its interior.
