What does an Amira fan do?

I have been a dedicated Amira fan for the last two years. In fact I may be one of the hundred or so most involved fans. While Amira's fan site has 12,000 invited members, only a few hundred truly partake in all the activities available to them.

I have never been a fan of anyone before. So the experience is new to me. It occurred to me that some would have no idea what the attraction is. So I'm going to make a short list of some of the many interesting things Amira's fans do.

1. We keep up on her Facebook fan page (private except to members) and participate in thread discussions, many of which are often interesting and animated. We discuss Amira's past, her upcoming projects and long term plans, share videos and pictures, and keep up on the activities of her charity Gelukskinders. 
2. We greet new members to the club and answer any questions. 
3. We read through new comments on Amira's most trending YouTube videos and answer questions and correct inaccurate information. Often people don't know where to purchase Amira's albums and we point them to her foundation website store. 
4. We keep up with any new charity 'actions' that Amira initiates, and usually donate to help in these. This has included aid to children whose parents could not work during lockdown, Christmas giveaways to the poor children in the townships, building her famous playgrounds (she has built 15), and recently even purchasing milk for two orphan rhinoceroses she adopted. 
5. We have also raised money for her streaming concerts and help promote them on social media. 
6. Occasionally smaller groups of members break off into special project teams to purchase gifts for Amira and her brother that will help them with their school careers. These are separate from her foundation and are personal gifts. 
7. A group of us have re-mastered and re-uploaded several of Amira's most popular performances on YouTube. Improvements include adjusted sound, better visual clarity, and adding subtitles where appropriate. 
8. One thing we do is celebrate when any video of Amira's crosses a new viewer threshold. For instance passing a certain number of millions of views, which happens frequently as Amira's videos are some of the most popular in the world.

And that about sums it up. As there is something going on in Amira-land just about every day, it fills the time with positive activity and thoughts in a time when the world is not otherwise so bright. And keeps us happy and feeling useful to a cause we believe in -- Amira's future and the future of her foundation.
