Amira arrived in Maastricht for a microphone check the day before her famous performance. She also took careful instruction from composer Andre Rieu who was taking a gamble inviting her to perform with the Johann Strauss Orchestra.

The microphone they tested her with did not work on the day of the performance and she was handed a hand mic at the last minute that she used.
Amira's expression here is priceless.
And the following day she walked out in front of 13,000 people, performed, and received a standing ovation. The video of the career-making event has 51 million views.
