Sufi and Hindu Mendicants

I was surprised at the similarity between Sufi (top) and Hindu (bottom) aesetic mendicants. The first are known as fakirs, the latter as sadhus. Each means the same thing. Clicking on photos takes you to a larger image. At the age of 12, Baba's father Sheriar left home and became a wandering dervish, a fakir. Years later he settled down and eventually married Baba's mother Shireen.
