The End of Each Avataric Age

Baba does not follow Vedic tradition in his use of the word yuga. He defines a yuga as a period of 700-1400 years. See God Speaks Glossary. Following the reasoning of the previous post, we can do the same for Jesus and Muhammad.

Jesus is said to have actually been born between 4-6 BC. Assuming he was awakened to his destiny by a perfect master earlier than the gospel stories begin, at around the age of 20, this would have marked the start of the 11th age after Buddha. Since Buddha's advent was short, we'll assume its 11 ages are 55 years each. This is in accord with the chart on p. 271 of the 1973 print edition of God Speaks.

Assuming Jesus was born in 5 BC (average of 4-6 modern estimates), and was God-realized when he was around 20 years old, like Baba, it would put the beginning of the age in which Jesus was present in 15 AD. Now we add 55 years (the length of a short age). And we get 70 AD. This marks the end of that yuga. And what happened in 70 AD? The temple was destroyed, a great world-changing tragedy prophesied by Jesus. The end of an age and a yuga.

We can even speculate that since Baba was realized by a Muslim, Babajan, being in the 11th age after Muhammad, Jesus was likely realized by a Buddhist, being in the 11th age after Buddha.

Now we look at Muhammad. Muhammad first heard the voice of Gabriel at 40 years old, in 610 AD. Being a short period since Jesus, the age again would be 55 years from that date. What happened in 665 AD, marking the end of that yuga? I know Ali was assassinated in 661 AD. I do not know any auspicious event that occurred in 665. If anyone does, please comment.

  1. I love reading your blog - gives me much to think about.

Here you mention that Jesus was likely realized by a Buddhist. I am not so familiar with the life of Jesus, but I remember reading in James McGrew's book "Avataric Advents" that John the Baptist likely played the same role that Babajan played for Meher Baba.

    1. I would say that Upasni played the role of John the Baptist, and that Babajan played the same role as a Buddhist master we do not know about, who first awakened him. It makes sense that his first encounter is with one in the line of descent from the previous Avatar, which in the case of the Muslim master Babajan is Muhammad.
